Having already bought the Siren Breeze mid boots, I bought the walking shoes prior to a short holiday and wore them for hours of walking each day. They are a fantastic fit and the special sole makes it feel as if I'm wearing slippers and walking on air! They are truly fantastic and I love them. I was glad to find the more restrained colour scheme available online as the Go Outdoors shop where I first tried them on only had the pinkish ones which I didn't think were very practical.

These are beautifully comfortable shoes! I've had a pair of Merrell boots for a couple of years which have been superb, so when I needed a new pair of walking shoes I thought I'd look at what Merrell had to offer. I suffer from epidermolysis bullosa, a skin condition which causes traumatic and profuse blistering, so I have to be careful about what I put on my feet. I'm not kidding - even flip-flops give me blisters. I've been wearing my new Sirens non-stop ever since I got them, about two weeks, and not a single blister! Which means they fit beautifully, are light and comfortable. And they are smart enough to wear to work - well they will be until I inevitably get them caked in peat bog.

This is my first pair of walking shoes and I have really struck lucky! They fit like a glove and my feet feel caressed and supported. I love the styling and colour, and although mine are size 42 my feet don't look big in them. I normally take a 41 shoe but as my feet swell in the heat I opted for a 42 walking shoe and it is perfect, as I can always wear a thicker sock in cooler weather. I wish there had been some cleaning advice in the box because on their last outing I walked through some swampy muddy coloured wet grass and I'm not sure the best way to restore them to their original brightness. I also wonder whether I should use some kind of waterproofing on the uppers since the shoes do not have a Goretex lining.

Have just come back from holiday in Switzerland where I wore these for the first time and where they were well tested on mountain paths and general walking around. They were comfortable from first wear, the grip on the sole is very good and they felt reasonably cool in warm weather. I also like the fact that they are a neat, neutral style. I take a size 8/42 in shoes normally, but needed the 8.5 in these.

I bought a pair of Siren Breeze Merrell trainers about 5 years ago and was amazed at their comfort. I stumbled across them in an outdoor clothing store in an attempt to find something which doesnt cause me pain. I have arthritis in one of my feet and Merrells are the ONLY shoes that I can wear which do not cause me ANY discomfort. They never rub or pinch and are very supportive in all the right areas. I love their styles and, although expensive, are worth every penny. They are incredibly hard wearing and last until they are literally worn out, they are comfy and stylish. Everyone should have Merrells!!. I bought the red Solo Origins trainers last month and they look great with their bright red colour. So cool.
