The addition of GORE-TEX® gasket construction with antimicrobial GORE-TEX® fabric lining keeps this supportive mid-height Siren breezy even in bad weather. Distinctive crossover leather buttressing support a mesh upper that’s protected by molded bumpers at toe and heel. Biomechanically efficient QForm® technology in a Merrell® air cushion midsole aligns and cushions each stride.
I have had these boots for almost a year now and they fit well and are very comfortable. I use them mostly for walking the dog.
I am rather disappointed that my left big toe is getting wet just walking on wet grass and wondered if I needed to re-waterproof them somehow. On closer inspection it seems that the rubber toecap has parted company with the sole around the side. Is this kind of wear reasonable after less than a year?
I think they are a bit expensive if I need a new pair every year.

Dear Mel
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of your experience. If the shoe is leaking, there may be a manufacturing issue with the gore-tex lining. Our Consumer team have emailed you with some further advice.

Interesting to see that the previous review which I submitted about these boots has not been posted. Could it be because it was negative? I do feel that it was a balanced review and gave credit for fit and comfort, but pointed out the problems I had with grip.
