First pair of Merrell footwear I purchased, got to be the best footwear I have ever owned. Very comfortable, great grip, waterproof, love these. One warning, I did have to buy a couple of sizes above my usual size, I am usually 8.5 uk size, however only the 10.5 Merrell size fit me correctly. I will be purchasing Merrell again. Just to add, I have had mine over a year and no problems whatsoever thus far.

Looked fantastic out of the box only 3 weeks ago and was surprised at how light the shoes were. However I cant review much further as the air cushioning under the right heel has popped already making an annoying popping squeek with every step. Over £100 and they lasted 1 week at work and two weekend trips to the shops (hardly taxing). Ive tried to swap for a new pair in the hope this was a one off (I have had nothing but merrells for years) but this has proved impossible as there are no black versions in stock anywhere!!.... Have they been recalled??

These shoes have taken me up the biggest mountains in the lake district. They are very good they have lasted for years, and are fully water proof. you do need to be careful because there is no ankle support and is easy to twist your ankle over hard rocky terrain like crinkle crags etc. So far they have been very comfortable and easy to walk in. I chose these because i wanted some light shoes that do every thing i need and they have lived up to my expectations!

I've had my Intercept's for a year now and find them very difficult to fault. Comfort was instant and I've never had any blisters or sores. My pair has never squeaked, never leaked and have never let me down. If there is one thing I'd like to be improved, it would be for the soles to be grippier in the wet. My pair are a half size bigger, but then I wear thick socks with them.

I have one pair of Intercept Ventilator. Two pairs of Intercept Urban. And a regular Intercept pair besides this one. So there is no question that I LOVE these shoes. My complaint about the goretex version is that it runs smaller in size than the other Intercept models. It's like the goretex layer builds inward. Thats unfortunate when I order the shoes from another country with no chance to try them on first.
