I have owned my pair for 18 months now and wear them all the time. They are still in very good condition, completely intact and still very supportive. I have owned many trainers over the years and none have lasted like these. I wear them to work, walking the dog, and some hill walking and they just keep going. Only now has the tread started to wear flat, but apart from that they are perfect. They are easy to clean and there is no odour from them at all. I highly recommend these to anyone think of buying a pair.

With an enjoyment of walking and relativly large feet I was happy to find the Merrel line was often recommended to me. I have bought two sets of interceptors and unfortunatly both have given out on me within 6-8 month period as the soles have worn through causing the shoe to flood. Given the moiste climate of the UK I found this to be a major problem. Before degradation issues, I found the shoes to be throughly comfortable and well suited to an all round life and all round a good trainer. However with the rapid degradation of the soles and often a rapid peel as the front end of the sole peals away from the shoe I find these to genearlly be a poor quality product.

I purchased these shoes in preparation for my year long backpacking venture around the world in 2009. The shoes were brilliant, lightweight for walking/trekking, comfy and strong! As I was limited on space these were the only shoes I took with me along with a pair of Merrell sandals! I would hazard a guess that I wore these shoes everyday! My trip consisted of various activities including general walking around the cities, hiking/trekking, camping, walking in rivers/seas (I know they are not waterproof) etc. They have covered hundreds of miles of trekking (including the Grand Canyon, Angels Landing), been worn on nights out and general day to day wearing. After 4 years of punishment they are now starting to look a little worse for wear, although there is still plenty of grip on the soles! Would I buy another pair........ In a heartbeat!

I am using this shoe for last 5 years. In different extreme weather conditions and everytime it has performed exceedinly well. Very comfortable and reliable shoe.

I tried this shoes and after couple meters I found the best shoes in my life. I am walking lots of kilometers every day, and they are still in perfect condition. I never had better shoes than this one.Only one problem was to buy them in Slovak Republic, when I came from, but I bough them in UK and problem solve.I am 100% sure that in near future I will buy another pair ;) on of the best product from Merrell.
