I have a pair of these from 2005 and are still amazingly comfortable and impeccable. I use them for walking and hiking in the city, country and mountain and the only problem that i have was a small spot of rubber that started to detach. A little bit of super glue and it´s ok again. I have another pair, the leather model from 2006/2007 and still impeccable. How can i clean them so they have the original aspect? I use a piece of tissue and water...

looking to replace my current pair of Merrell Chameleons which I've had for 3 years and will buy the same again. Comfy and able to be worn for just about any outdoor pursuit, I can recommend these shoes to anyone. As reviewers have said, these shoes are 1st class.

these were my first pair of merrels and to this day still the most comftable. i have had them for a few years now and neather the sole or the inner has worn down. i also find if i have had a big day at work and i have a sore back or sore feet i slip these on and within hours all the sorness has gone.worth every penny. only down side is that when i want to wear tham out with my mates they all ask if im going on a hike cause of the hiker style of them.

I've had 2 pairs of these and the only reason I bought a second pair is the old ones had really faded after a few years use. Other than that they were still in one piece and I still wear them when I know they are going to take a beating. Soooo comfortable they are like slippers straight from the box but give great support and protection for your feet. I have a very expensive pair of walking boots but find I just want to leave these on all the time and could walk in them forever. They certainly aren't waterproof and a good splash will wet your feet so they are only really for summer use. Get the GoreTex ones if you need them for wet conditions but they will be much warmer. I find I wear them too much now and in the bright red colour people certainly notice them in the street and often ask if I'm going up a mountain!

Very well constructed piece of footwear! I have had mine for over 2 years now. They were comfortable straight out of the box, and have survived me wearing them almost everyday, including travelling to places like Kenya and Morocco. I would definitely buy another pair of these, and I would recommend Merrell now to anyone.
