I live in Victoria, Canada and it rains a lot here. I love this jacket so much. The fabric is stylish and so is the cut. It has long enough arms for me when I bike (daily) and it practically perfect in every way. I am so pleased that Merrell has figured out how to do function and fashion instead of either or. Way to go!

I love the feel of the fabric, the colour (Lapis), the length, the many pockets, the full lining (so you don't feel all sticky). But, for a raincoat the hood is pretty terrible. It doesn't have a visor, it leaves my entire face exposed at the top and the sides and does not cover the front of my neck at all. My face gets really wet when it rains unless I have my umbrella. It seems they went for "style" over function, which is ridiculous to me since it is a rain coat. I wish I could replace the hood with a functional one (in the same colour of course). Also, this is not a "cold weather" coat. Yes it has a lining, but a thin one. I would not wear this coat when its much less than 10 degrees celcius, but its nice for fall/spring weather. One final thing, there are tabs at the waist but they are not adjustable. I altered them myself to give a more fitted look which is nice but it would be much nicer if this option was built into the coat (there's an adjustable elastic around the wait on the inside, but does not change the appearance on the outside). I'm 5'9", 145lbs and have a small that goes that goes to the mid-thigh.
