As with previous purchases of Merrell shoes, they seem to perfectly fit my feet. Extremely comfortable for all day, everyday use.

Just got these shoes and they are comfy right out of the box. Every bit as good as my Merrel winter hikers.

These boots are comfortable, keep your feet from leaning over.

These boots are very comfortable, they offer great support, the traction is excellent, but they are not waterproof. I got rained on once, and the only exposed parts of the boots, which were the toes, were soaked right through. The rest of the boot was covered by my rain pants. I'm not sure if they're water-resistant, because mine were only exposed to water once and they failed the test. Maybe if there was less rain, they would have kept dry. Regardless, this wasn't a torrential downpour, it was a moderate amount of rain, and I'm sure I didn't step into any puddles or anything. The only reason I'm stressing the waterproof thing so much is because that was the most important quality that I was looking for in a boot when I was shopping around. There's a little metal tag on the side of the boot that you can see in the stock photo when you zoom in. On the boots in the photo, the tag says "Gore-Tex". On my boots, this tag says "Waterproof"...which is hilarious because that's the one thing these boots are definitely not. They are still great boots. If you buy them, you won't likely be disappointed as long as you stay out of the rain.

These boots are among the comfiest summer hiking boots I've ever worn. They're well-proportioned to my feet and required no break-in period. They're satisfyingly breathable, lightweight, and yet have enough ankle-support to support me even when carrying a heavy expedition pack. On the downside, though, is the Gore-Tex waterproofing in these boots. Either it is poorly incorporated into the design of the boot itself, or I have received a faulty pair. After walking for about an hour in a mid-strength rain, my right foot became wet - within that hour, it was soaked. An hour after that, the waterproofing in the left shoe gave way, too, and about three hours into the hike both feet were soaked. When I got home, I cleaned the boots properly, let them dry, etc. A few weeks later, I was on another hike and I had the same experience, this time in a light downpour. These are great boots, except for the waterproofing, and thus I am disappointed overall. I need waterproof boots to be a happy hiker! Get your Gore-Tex working, and I'll be buying Merrell again.
