My size just isn't right... I am an avid Merrell buyer... I have the chameleons 2,3,4. Two version of the jungle moc and I have religiously worn the Merrell winter boot that is completely goretex (rubber plastic) for over 7 years, winter has not begun until I have slipped my foot in the boot its literally gives me a massage as I put it on ever after 7 years. I do assistance for homeless re-entry, my clients walk everywhere, they will wear a shoe down to the tread in 2 months of walking. To save money I decided to give individuals the chameleon 2 or whatever is affordable off ebay. What took 2 months now takes 1-2 years for my clients to destroy. I buy them for my parents etc..Every social experience I need I have purchased 9.5 Merrell shoes, except one... running. For 6 years I have used the vibram 5 fingers, but every winter I give up running and swim as my feet just dont enjoy running in snow. But this year I thought I would keep it up so I order these shoes 9.5 and for some reason they are an entire size too large. At first, because I was use to using the 5 finger, I thought maybe they were just a different feeling, but after a quick 6 mile run I instantly had shin splints and the shoes got a lot more spacious. But really that's not my problem. Other people say its true to size but I dont know why all my other 9.5's are perfect but I am swimming in these. Now my beef isn't with the sizing, maybe this is normal. But I live on an island in the South Pacific. Everything I order, I order online. I am meticulous on sizing things. Motorcycle helmets, proper denim jeans... so I just wish that in 2017 when more and more people live online that Merrell could provide a more detailed sizing chart. I mean the manufacturers should provide detail sizing schematics for the company.. it could be as simple as copying and pasting those figures so runners could get the same sort of specificity in the fit as I can with my Five Fingers shopping online. Now other people have not complained about size so I dont know how my shoes are so uncomfortable maybe its just these individual shoes. But for me when it comes to buying running shoes its not about price but about feel.. and right now I dont have the happy feeling I as hoping to have looking forward to running in Merrell's all winter...

Best minimalist shoe I've owned Perfect amount of support to stay connected to the ground but still be able to run hard without stress fractures or other injury. Wide toe box is perfect. Grip on the sole is excellent. I tend to hate the concept of the burrito tongue because it usually jabs into the front of my ankle, but you guys made it work! I recently upped my mileage from 9-15 miles a week to 34-40 miles a week and these shoes have been just so great, with me all the way. Unfortunately, these are not trail miles, but Brooklyn miles, but through all that pavement my feet feel better than ever (though the shoes perform great on Sierra Nevada trails, as well as the trails in Prospect Park). ~300 miles so far and the shoes seem like they've got about 300-500 more in them, at least. A minimalist shoe that you can run long and hard in and not get hurt is rare, so I really appreciate this shoe. I'm going to buy a couple more pair because I fear you'll redesign it for a new version and leave me lost in the woods again! Anyway, thanks! Seems like you really took to heart the reviews I read about the last version of the shoe, and redesigned accordingly.

Perfect trail running shoe. Perfect trail running shoe. Much better than previous models. I left a review on Amazon going into details. Liked them so much bought a second pair after two runs on the first pair. Address all the "issues" of prior models.

Great shoe I am a fairly recent convert to these, TG3 was the first of these that I owned. TG4 feels much better than the the 3 and has become my favorite trail shoe by far. Has a nice wide toebox and good traction on the trails. I just wore these for a 6 mile Spartan race and they performed great.

Excellent step up from the TG3 I've been a big fan of the TG series from the beginning. I've had every model and loved them. The TG 3 was my least favorite due to the shape of the sole and shoe itself. It caused a considerable amount of pain on the outside of my foot. I have to say that the TG4 feels a little wider overall, which is really nice. However, it feels like the heel is on the wider side now or they've at least taken out some of the padding that helped the heel lock in. I'm experiencing a little slipping in the heel. It's not terrible but more of an annoyance. I would have loved to see one more lace hole at the top of the shoe like the previous models as well. Seems like they keep taking a lace hole away from the newest models of their lines. Bring it back! :) Other than that, these feel great. Very well made. Durable. Stable. Well thought out. Merrell really makes the best shoes for the outdoors.
