Unimpressed after 2 months running 40 miles / week Problems: 1.) Somehow this design lost the big toe wiggle room. That's a major issue for, you know, running. 2.) This M-bound sole is likened to stiff plywood. Please bring back VIBRAM and never use anything else. 3.) What are you thinking abandoning VIBRAM soles on a zero drop shoe? Totally Insane. 4.) The shoes are so stiff at this point that I can no longer tolerate wearing them at all. 5.) If you want to develop toe nail pain and plantar fasciitis, then have at it. Otherwise pass on this new design. Yours truly, An actual runner

replacing some merrell running shoes that were discontinued previous model was sooooo comfortable for walking (labeled AllOutRush and Unifly on the sole). This shoe is almost as comfortable and probably is a better running shoe due to more stability in the sole (tread is not as tall). I would encourage Merrell to make additional models with different tread and upper characteristics using the Select Grip soles. This sole functions better for walking, running in urban environments than their hiking soles (obvious I know)

Great all around athletic shoe I live in Southern California where concrete and dirt running go hand in hand. I have had these shoes for 2 weeks and have run in the city and on dirt paths and these shoes are very comfortable. I also use these shoes at the bym for weightlifting and they provide optimal support. They broke in immediately. I had Merrel barefoot shoes before this and these provide much more support and look great. I am very pleased with this purchase and cannot wait to see how long they last.
