Almost the Perfecr Boot After settling and getting a subpar boot last winter I finally bought these bad boys. I ordere a size 12 which is my usual size but they are a half size too big. Besides the boot being a little too big I’ve been completely happy with them. I use these as my winter boots and they have keep my feet dry and warm. They look good on foot and I always get compliments every time I wear them. I look forward to having these for a few years and getting another pair after those.

Wet Feet I live in the Northeast and the past couple winters have been pretty mild in this area. So even though I needed winter boots, I didn't break down and buy them until I flew out West for a ski trip last March. I love how these look and they're very comfortable- I bought them before my trip. I was out in Tahoe for 3 days and it snowed the entire time, and the boots held up well. They may have been a little damp, but I assumed it was moisture from my feet since I wore them the whole trip. When I got back East, I packed them away in storage for the season. This year, the Winter season has hit the East coast hard. I broke these back out to wear in our first big snow storm in December. After going out in the snow for the first time, I noticed the leather looked waterlogged on the bottom where it meets the sole, and then shortly after I felt my socks getting wet. I can understand winter boots having this issue after some serious wear and tear, but to have only worn them for 3 days prior to this issue is definitely not what I expected. I've continued to wear them because they're all I have, and my feet are constantly wet, which gets especially unpleasant in the cold. It sucks too because, like I said, these are super comfy and are actually very warm when they're dry. Another negative is the water has stained the leather, so they've quickly become what looks and feels like raggedy old boots that need to be replaced. I'm pretty bummed about this because I know Merrell is a trusted outdoor brand, and I was excited to have top of the line boots when I bought them. Unfortunately, I can't justify recommending these based on my experience.

They were my favorite boots until winter happened I’ve had these boots for about a year now, and up until this point they have been my absolute favorite boots and I wore them any chance I got. Living in Michigan, the winters get quite cold obviously, but I haven’t had any problems with leaking or anything like that. The issue I have had is upon wearing them in the snow (which was partially my intended use of purchasing them) is the leather seems to have been eaten away from the snow and presumably the salt as well. I’ve never had this happen with any other boots I’ve owned, and I’m hoping this is a fluke. I originally planned to buy more pairs of these boots. Disappointing.

NOT waterproof. Wish I had ready reviews before purchasing I have always been pleased with Merrell boots so it never occurred to me that I should read reviews before buying these boots. I just received these last week and wore them twice. The second time was in wet condition with nothing more than wet grass and puddles maybe 1/4 " deep. My feet were wet withing minutes. Very disappointing especially at this price point. Otherwise they are good looking and comfortable but not worth the price if they leak so easily.

Excellent Boots! The Sugarbush Waterproof boots by Merrell are fantastic! They fit great and were comfortable to wear right out of the box. They look great too, and I wore them with dress flannel slacks to the office on a snowy morning and left them on all day. Would highly recommend these boots!
