Best Hiking Boot I've Owned Bought the 10 (wide) for my size 10D foot two years ago and they fit perfectly even with an extra insole--no break-in required. They are still together, still waterproof without additional treatments, and the shoelace eyelits are still in place; i.e., they have not pulled out or bent or broke off.

Highly Satisfied!!! I just retired after almost 28 years in the US Army and these are probably the most comfortable boots that I've ever owned, military or otherwise. They've been hiking with me for three months in NZ, The Blue Ridge Mountains and Sequoia NP. Currently in Ireland and they're still going strong. Excellent traction and fully waterproof. I liked them so much that I got a pair for my son who is a Marine and he uses them as his favorite civilian hikers. I'm not affiliated with Merrell in any way, just relating my experience this boot. I will purchase another pair upon my return to the States.

No durability 15-20 pairs of pulse ll 4 pairs of Geomorph then they were also discontinued. I'm on my third pair of pulsates and they wear out on the pivot point within two months. If not for the high cost I wouldn't be concerned. I need the mid ankle support because of a previous ankle injury and these models have been great until now. They dont have the tread count to absorb the wear.

Mission Saver I am currently responsible for training a military team for the 4 Days Marches in Nijmegen in the Netherlands. One of the qualifying prerequisites is two 40km ruckmarches on cosecutive days with a minimum load of 25lbs static load (i.e. weight before consumables). My usual military boots had done such a number on my feet on day one that I could not get them back on, day two I started in a different pair of military boots. After 10 kms I was in so much pain I switched out to these bots and did the last 30kms. These boots are absolutely responsible for me being able to get the job done. Yes my feet were sore, but these boots are just so comfortable they made it possible to continue on. THANK-YOU Merrell...now please start making boots that I can wear as duty wear (taller and a little less flashy - Sergeant Majors tend to get a little wound up)
