I wear these as an everyday shoe. This is the second pair of Merrell 'barefoot' style shoes I've owned, and can't imagine going back to a more conventional style of footwear. The other model I have was discontinued (Flux Glove), and I really regret not having bought a second pair of them (I was really surprised to learn they'd been discontinued when I went to buy them again), but I've come to appreciate the extra bit of cushion that these Bare Access shoes provide-- especially during my 12 hour shifts in the hospital. The wide toe box of Merrell shoes lets me feel as though I'm actually standing on my feet, allowing me to use my toes as I walk, giving me a better sense of control with my gait. That may sound strange, but I'll certainly be buying Merrell shoes for years to come. They are durable (my Flux Gloves did not wear out, I just needed a pair of shoes to designate for work-only), and incredibly comfortable, and I highly recommend them. I've also found Merrell to be a good company to work with. My only misgiving is with the current trend in footwear colours-- I don't want flashy shoes (which is largely how I decided to get a pair of Bare Access shoes this time around-- they were one of the only options available in the largely neutral, all-black). Sized slightly smaller (1/2 size) smaller than what I would typically purchase in a more conventional shoe.
