Actually both of the shoes are fantastic! They have surprised me at how comfortable they are, almost feeling like they have formed to each foot. The Mix Master Tuff is a lightweight shoe with a barely on there feel let it is durable in its ability to navigate any terrain. I have already wore them on the trails in my area and haven't encountered any issues with slippage or lack of grip on mud, moisture, pine needles, grass, sand, rock etc. When I get home there is very little debris stuck in the treads and have only noticed the occasional stick or wet grass blade caught up by them. I highly recommend the Mix Master Tuff for your next shoe ... you will have a hard time not making this your next everyday shoe! By the way, that's a picture of mother moose and one of her twin calves ... thanks Merrell for getting me outdoors!
