I love these shoes they are lighter and more streamlined i than my previous pair bought several years ago. I walk in a lot of different settings, they hold my feet well and are great for all my walking needs. I would highly recommend these shoes !

I've owned my first pair for about 3 years now and have worn them a LOT. The tread has started to wear away so I've ordered a new pair. They've been the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned since day 1 and the tread wearing away is the only thing that's wrong with them, they're still a perfect fit, nothing has broken in any way and upper is fine (if a bit scruffy!).

I am a commercial dog walker and take groups of dogs off-leash into the mountains around Metro Vancouver. I needed a durable hiker that would hold up to two 2-hour off-leash hikes five days a week . . . and I found it in the Merrill Siren Ventilator! These hikers are the most comfortable shoes I've ever purchased -- there was absolutely no break-in period. One of the thinks I especially like is that the soles hold the terrain like velcro. I've washed them several times (air drying them each time) and I haven't noticed any wear whatsoever and I've had them since April. Just can't say enough about these hikers. Merrill has now become my manufacturer of choice when it comes to my outdoor hikers.

I wear these all the time, and after heavy use and a few years I am now wearing off the tread, so I've gotten a second pair. My knees were beginning to bother me before I bought the first ones, and now with a merrell sole under me they never ache at all. It's a bit pricier than I'm used to, but worth every penny. I recommend these for anyone who loves to walk but doesn't appreciate the aches and pains. Even running errands I last longer than I would otherwise with any other footwear. I need all the energy I can get.
