I purchased these in the Dark Shadow color to replace my very loved but very worn Siren Sports. The mesh sections on the Maipo allow plenty of air to flow through so my feet stay cool. This also makes the shoes lighter weight, which is a plus for me. They are supportive and comfortable. Merrell has saved my feet. I have an achilles sheath injury that requires that I only wear well fitting, supportive shoes. Thank goodness Merrell fits the bill, and makes shoes that look good, too!
