Team Merrell enters the City to Surf

Here at Team Merrell Australia we like to get outside as often as possible. This weekend we are looking forward to entering the world’s largest race the City to Surf in Sydney.  The 14km race is expected to attract over 80,000 entrants including five from team Merrell. We will be wearing our Merrell Barefoot shoes this year and look forward to some great results! Look out for us during the race and we hope to see you there in your Merrells!

Merrell Barefoot

In 1960 Abebe Bikila was a late addition to the Ethiopian Olympic team, set to run the marathon.  When he didn’t like the way his shoes fit before the race, he decided to scrap them and race barefoot, the way he had trained.  Two hours and fifteen minutes later, he was Olympic champion, the hero of a nation and the first big name in barefoot running.
