This week Merrell makes its debut on the very cool website “I dig your sole man” which showcases the latest in urban footwear fashion. A big congratulations to Oliver Zambon, who has been awarded the Australian Ultra Runners Association “Rising Star” award for the best under 25 year old performer of 2011, for his efforts at Glasshouse Mountains (wearing Merrell Trail Gloves of course).

Spring has sprung and the shelves are stocked with the newest summer sandals. Spring 2011 is all about warm pastel colors derived from nature. Merrell is famous for its rugged outdoor shoes which are built to handle the most difficult of terrains and it is this same technology used in Merrell’s range of sandals which keeps your feet in comfort while still looking great.

For all the Merrell fans in Melbourne you can now see the full Merrell range at the very first Victorian Merrell flagship store - located at 220 Collins Street, Melbourne City.  The new store which opens today will carry the full range of Men’s and Women’s Merrell footwear and selected apparel.  Brett and the team have more than 25 years combined experience working within the footwear industry and there isn’t much they don’t know about shoes. Here at Team Merrell Australia we like to get outside as often as possible. This weekend we are looking forward to entering the world’s largest race the City to Surf in Sydney.  The 14km race is expected to attract over 80,000 entrants including five from team Merrell. We will be wearing our Merrell Barefoot shoes this year and look forward to some great results! Look out for us during the race and we hope to see you there in your Merrells!

This year, we’re proud to say that Merrell is turning 30.  We know that some people get a bit freaked out by milestone birthdays, but for us, we can’t be more excited!  You see, we think the fact that we’ve been kicking around (pun intended) for 30 years is something to be proud of.  Really proud, because it means that although we think we make great shoes and clothing, you do too.
