Last weekend I went camping and it rained. I was impressed with my Merrell Siren Surge, my feet stayed warm and dry. When you don't have the comforts of home and everything is wet and damp at least I could smile at my choice of shoes and enjoy my warm dry feet.

I bought a pair of these to go on holiday 2 years ago. The tongue was little stiff to start with and dug in my ankle, but it soon softened and they have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever had in my entire life - really! I've worn them almost every single day since I bought them, and they're still going strong. I sprayed them with waterproofing spray, and I re-sprayed them yesterday because they'd started to get damp in wet weather. The soles are hardly worn, I just can't believe how good they still are. They're lightweight, support your feet well, the soles are tough enough so you don't feel any sharp stones etc, and the uppers still look perfectly OK. Thank you Merrell!

I love these shoes! They were bought specifically for a recent 5 week trip to China, Tibet and Nepal. Did not want to take my ankle high hiking boots and DEFINATELY didn't want to take runners. They are really comfortable, offer great support and are perfect for long city sightseeing walks and mild hiking. I walked 40km up and down stairs on the Great Wall and felt great after. Before leaving home I sprayed them with some water proofing solution which helped keep them dry in light rain. Didn't take any other closed in shoes as under jeans they are fine for night time wear.

I have had the Merrell Siren Surge for about 4 weeks now and from the minute i tried them on in the shop i was impressed they felt so so good .. i wore them home and have worn them everyday since .... i am going to Europe soon and i was looking for a good looking and comfortable shoe and this shoe is both .. i am happy to wear them anywhere so its one pair of shoes for my trip instead of two or three .. would be nice in black i think .

I bought a pair of these shoes 2 years a go for travelling and they are fantastic. They are great for walking all day,for cycling and for any other outdoor activities. I really would love a pair in black because then they would also be great for a dressier look of an evening, it would be great to be able to take just one pair of shoes away with me. I know they are made in black, it's a shame that they are not available in Australia.
