Merrell Barefoot Sizing - What Size to Buy

The fit of your shoe is a very important factor in the user experience.  We’ve had many people asking us what the best size is for Merrell Barefoot.  Should you buy your size, a size down, a size up?  To help with any questions, see below for your best bet.

Sizing: Finding the right size in Merrell Barefoot will depend on your personal style. It is best to try on the shoes before buying to find the right fit.

If you can’t, here are some tips.

-         The sizing lines up with the sizing of our regular Merrell multi-sport footwear.

-         Depending on how you like the shoe to fit and whether or not you are wearing socks will affect the sizing.

-         The fit is snug through heel and arch allowing with room in the toe box for foot splay.  Foot splay is part of barefoot biomechanics where your toes are encouraged to work and grab for power/stability/traction. 

-         If you would like a snugger, barefoot like-fit (no socks), you may choose to order a ½ size down.
